We are looking for dedicated and experienced Millwrights for an opportunity with a reputable company.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Journeyman Millwright will maintain, improve, and optimize the mechanical operations for the plant located in Richmond, BC. This is a permanent, full time, straight day shift prospect.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Maintain and repair heavy industrial equipment, including rotary cement kilns, ball mills, large gearsets, crushers, and compressors
Service and troubleshoot a wide range of mechanical systems: fans, blowers, conveyors (belt, bucket, screw, pneumatic), and vibrating screens
Repair and maintain gearboxes, clutches, pumps, and other rotating equipment
Respond urgently to equipment breakdowns while upholding safety and product quality standards
Perform regular inspections to prioritize preventative maintenance over reactive repairs
Collaborate with team members and work independently to meet maintenance and operational goals
Communicate with operations, delivery teams, and management to resolve mechanical and process issues
Maintain accountability by keeping managers informed and owning outcomes of decisions
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement aimed at maintaining top-tier facility performance
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Journeyman Red Seal status. Preference to dual ticketed
Required Work Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ heavy manufacturing/mining experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A commitment to working safely
Troubleshooting skills.
Self-starter: Capacity to work as part of a team and independently
Ability to work in various work environments (hot and cold).
Reliable and dependable
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
WHAT WE OFFER
Pay Rate: $59.66/hourly CAD
If dual ticketed the rate is $60.78/Hourly CAD
OT rate: After completing 8 hours of straight time; 1.5x after 2 hours / 2.0x thereafter in a day; 2.0x rate for regular day call out; 3.0x rate on unscheduled
