Our Ideal Candidate
We are currently seeking a Civil Designer to join our Kelowan team. In this role, you will apply your design experience and technical knowledge to civil infrastructure projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client and regulatory expectations.
A Day in the Life
As a Civil Designer, you will:
Produce detailed civil earthworks and infrastructure layout drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Guide design standards, quality checks, and ensure adherence to project specifications and applicable codes
Interface with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to provide design input and technical support
Conduct occasional site visits and field reviews to validate design work and collect as-built data
Contribute to project planning and coordination with Project Managers and Engineers
S upport quantity take-offs, grading plans, site servicing layouts, and erosion control designs
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Diploma of Technology in a Civil program (EDDT preferred)
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in civil design,



including complex civil/earthworks projects
P roficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience with Autodesk Recap, Bluebeam Revu, Global Mapper, and Microsoft Office products
U nderstanding of coordinate systems, survey data processing, and material take-offs
E xperience in the design of roads, ponds, ditches, site grading, and municipal infrastructure
Excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment
Experience in municipal or subdivision development is an asset
T echnical competence, attention to detail, and project accountability
