Execute and lead programs related to the assessment, monitoring, management, and remediation of contaminated sites.
Participate in environmental and contaminated site projects, including Stage 1 and 2 PSIs, DSIs, remediation programs, and long-term environmental monitoring and maintenance.
Participate in fieldwork involving sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, and surface water.
Participate in decommissioning and remediation programs and remediation system operation and maintenance, including direct oversight of contractors.
Assist with preparation of technical reports.
Support project managers with project planning and coordination, reporting, schedule and budget tracking.
Assist with technical and financial proposal preparation.
Work independently and in small teams, including at remote locations.
Support other technical disciplines and multidisciplinary projects.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with the project team.
Assist project managers with budgeting, planning, coordinating, executing projects, data analysis and reviews, and reporting.
Requirements A diploma or degree from a technical college or university in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Engineering.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally within British Columbia.
Previous experience in contaminated sites investigation is a strong asset.
Eligibility for, or progress toward, a professional status with a professional organization (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., E.I.T., G.I.T., A.Sc.T, P.Tech, C.E.T etc.) is considered an asset.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a collaborative mindset.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle for travel to job sites/clients
Passion for fieldwork and availability to work away from home, potentially for up to 2 weeks at a time on occasion.
Field assignments generally follow a 5-day schedule with 10-hour workdays, though 6-day workweeks may occasionally be required.
Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, or outside standard hours depending on site conditions.
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varied weather conditions and on active construction sites.
Ability to work for extended periods in different regions.
