Job Title: Aircraft MechanicJob Description
Join a agile team working on an aircraft conversion program and heavy maintenance projects. You will primarily focus on the Q400 conversion to aerial firefighting. Your role will include basic mechanical work, engine checks, wheel changes, structural inspections, and overall repairs. While the majority of the work is on the Q400, you may be required to work in other divisions and facilities.

Perform heavy maintenance and conversion tasks on aircraft, with a focus on Q400 models.
Conduct engine checks, wheel changes, and structural inspections.
Carry out repairs and maintenance work as required.
Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed.
Adapt to different divisions and facilities when necessary.
5+ years of aircraft heavy maintenance experience.
5+ years of experience as an aircraft mechanic.
Human Factors WHMIS Certification (current from 2021 onwards).
Experience with Dash 8 Q400 and other Dash 8 models.
Own tools and reliable transportation.

Additional Skills Qualifications
Experience with multiple aircraft is advantageous.
North experience, such as in Yukon or NW territories, is beneficial.
B737 experience of 5+ years is a plus.
AME M1 or M2 Licence is a nice to have.
Willingness to work independently and in a team.

Work Environment
You will work in a team of 5-6 people, collaborating with the team lead or lead hand to ensure aircraft functionality. Expect rotating team leads and bring your basic tools. The shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime on Saturdays or 10-hour workdays. The company offers a travel package, including a daily per diem, monthly LOA, and travel compensation for those driving long distances.

Job Type Location
This is a Contract position based out of Abbotsford, British Columbia. The pay range for this position is $52.50 - $55.00/hr. This is a fully onsite position in Abbotsford,BC.
