Be part of the Vancouver School Board as a Youth and Family Support Worker, supporting students and staff throughout the school year. This on-call role is pivotal in helping school-aged children facing various challenges.
As a Youth Support Worker, you will implement tailored programs, collaborate with educators, and assist in documenting progress for students with IEPs. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering an inclusive environment that prioritizes student well-being and successful transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support programming for individuals and groups
• Assist in implementing IEP goals and tracking progress
• Collaborate with teachers on behavior management strategies
• Supervise and manage students during school activities
• Create and organize educational instructional materials
Requirements:
• High school diploma with post-secondary education
• Minimum two years working with at-risk youth
• Strong knowledge in behavior management techniques
• Ability to foster relationships with students and staff
