Join GFL as a Recovery Technician specializing in hazardous waste management. This role involves truck operation, cargo handling, and compliance with safety standards across various sites.
As a Recovery Technician, you’ll transport and deliver hazardous wastes while ensuring adherence to necessary regulations. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, maintaining accurate documentation, and conducting vehicle inspections to guarantee safety. Effective communication skills are vital, as you’ll interface with customers and co-workers regularly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and secure cargo handling on trucks
• Conduct safety inspections and trip checks on vehicles
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of services
• Manage loading and unloading positions at sites
• Provide training support to current drivers as needed
Requirements:
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class 1A preferred
• Certification from a recognized Truck Driving School
• Strong mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills
• High School diploma minimum required
• Ability to lift over 75 lbs and work in diverse environments
