Tarleton State University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Mechanical and Civil Engineering courses at its Stephenville campus for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Successful candidates will prepare and deliver lectures, develop course materials, and assess student performance while supporting their academic growth. This role contributes significantly to driving educational excellence within the vibrant university community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures, seminars, and labs to undergraduate and graduate students
• Develop course syllabi and select instructional materials
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Foster critical thinking and engage students in active learning
• Hold office hours and offer academic guidance to students
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Prior teaching experience preferred
• Industry experience beneficial
