Lead as a Conservation and Protection Supervisor with Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Safeguard Canada’s waters through effective team management and strategic partnerships.
In this PM-05 level role, you will be responsible for implementing Conservation and Protection initiatives across diverse jurisdictions. You will supervise a team of experienced Fishery Officers and ensure adherence to vital legislation while fostering team-oriented relationships with diverse stakeholders. Your position will significantly influence the success of national conservation enforcement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of Fishery Officers in the Detachment
• Implement strategic initiatives for enforcement and compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
• Manage training and development of personnel
• Provide compliance evaluation reports to senior management
Requirements:
• Secondary school diploma or acceptable alternative
• Proven leadership experience in law enforcement settings
• Experience with compliance program implementation
• Strong collaborative relationship-building skills
• Willingness to undergo specialized training as needed
