Become a Patrol Constable and respond to emergencies while protecting life and property. This uniformed role involves active investigations and community engagement in a dynamic setting.
As a Patrol Constable, you'll serve as a vital front-line responder working within the VicPD. Your duties include managing critical incident scenes, writing reports, and conducting investigations while liaising with community members. You will also collaborate with teams to prevent crime and maintain public safety through effective communication and strong de-escalation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol areas by foot or vehicle to enforce laws
• Conduct investigations and manage crime scenes
• Write detailed incident reports for records
• Perform emergency first aid and facilitate medical access
• Liaise with partner agencies to ensure community safety
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 19 years with no criminal record
• Valid class 5 BC Driver’s License required
• High school graduation or equivalent education
• First Aid/CPR certification needed
• Visual and hearing acuity requirements must be met
