Become a crucial part of the Strathcona County RCMP Detachment as a Guard, responsible for the security and care of detainees. This position requires critical thinking and attention to detail.
We are looking to fill two hourly guard positions to monitor detainees while ensuring compliance with all RCMP regulations. Successful candidates need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities. Your role includes processing detainees, maintaining facilities, and contributing to a secure workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process incoming detainees, documenting personal effects
• Ensure safety and well-being of all detainees
• Clean and maintain holding cell equipment
• Create and manage property files in compliance
• Testify in court regarding detainee status when necessary
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of related experience
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Proficiency in networked computer environments
• Ability to adapt quickly in emergencies
• Willingness to work varying shifts
