The Staff AI Engineer (Platform) is responsible for the engineering execution and delivery of technology solutions that support our banking client''s AI platform.

This role ensures the timely delivery, quality, resiliency, and operational excellence of AI platform capabilities that support applications, processes and client journeys for our client.

The Staff AI Engineer partners closely with business and product leads to align on requirements and priorities, delivering technical solutions that support strategic business outcomes.

Reporting to the Head, Data and AI Platforms, this role plays a key part in translating vision into executable plans and ensuring those plans are delivered with a high level of quality, stability, and stakeholder alignment.

Accountabilities Lead the engineering delivery of our client''s enterprise AI platform, including MLOps/LLMOps, model training, deployment, monitoring, governance, and scalable AI infrastructure.

Build and enhance infrastructure supporting Generative AI, RAG, context engineering, intelligent agents, and large-scale model inference.

Partner with technology, data, analytics, risk, and business teams to deliver AI platform capabilities aligned with strategic priorities.

Design and implement standardized AI pipelines for real-time, batch, and hybrid workloads.

Lead engineering initiatives through planning,



development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Collaborate with data platform and AI development teams to optimize feature stores, data products, and AI/ML training and inference capabilities.

Drive engineering best practices across platform architecture, Dev

Ops, CI/CD, observability, automation, and incident management.

Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.

Mentor junior and intermediate engineers while contributing to technical leadership and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities University degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Technology, or relevant work experience 8+ years of Software/Data/ML/AI Engineering experience 2+ years of technology leadership experience, e.g. as a Senior/Staff Engineer Significant experience delivering complex, high-availability ML/AI platforms at scale.

Hands on experience with Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG pipelines, and feature stores.

Deep experience with cloud native AI/ML stacks (GCP/Azure/AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes) and contemporary AI platforms Knowledge of AI governance, compliance, security and reliability best practices
