Lead our Manufacturing Plant's safety initiatives as a Safety Program Coordinator. Focus on compliance, organize safety training, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Supervisor, this role involves promoting compliance with safety laws and conducting audits. You will be pivotal in maintaining accurate safety records and ensuring that all staff are well-informed about safety procedures.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing employees to conduct job hazard analyses and enhance safety policies actively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure current compliance with all safety legislation
- Conduct safety audits and communicate findings
- Manage recent hire safety orientations and training
- Maintain and update safety documentation and information
- Oversee first aid kits and emergency equipment
Requirements:
- Solid organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience in safety program administration
- Background in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Post-secondary education in a safety-related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
