About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their supply chain operations from a remote location, with strategic oversight relevant to the Northern Cape region. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supplier relations, all managed through effective remote collaboration. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the supply chain, driving improvements in procurement, warehousing, and distribution processes in a distributed model. This is a crucial role for maintaining operational integrity across geographical boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and demand planning.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Oversee supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure performance standards are met.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.




- Lead and coordinate a remote team of supply chain professionals, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management , with demonstrable success in managing remote operations.
- Robust understanding of logistics, inventory control, procurement, and global trade regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and collaboration tools for remote work.
