Job Purpose: We are looking for a Front Desk Receptionist who is passionate about supporting community and working within a team workplace. The front desk reception team works to provide a welcoming, supportive atmosphere while assisting community members to access health related programs and services.
This is a unique front desk position that specifically supports the Dental Clinic and requires an ability to work alongside people from diverse backgrounds including those experiencing poverty, mental health, or physical challenges. Excellent customer service is of the utmost importance in this role.
The front desk reception team works alongside physicians, nurses, dietitiens, social workers, mental health staff, our dental team, and several support staff. The front desk reception team members are key members of the team providing reception and scheduling services for all members of the health team and other support staff.
Education and Experience: Completion of Grade 12
Completion of Office, Business or Medical Office Administration program, OR
Equivalent combination of experience working in a health, dental or community setting
Experience in a dental office administration or clinical role is an asset
