Role Description The Production Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and adjusting production schedules to meet customer demand and operational targets in a timely and efficient manner. This full-time, on-site role in Toronto, ON involves coordinating with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure material availability, capacity alignment, and on-time completion of orders. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing production data, monitoring workflow,
resolving scheduling conflicts, and updating planning systems to reflect current priorities. The Production Planner also supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying bottlenecks, recommending process changes, and communicating schedule impacts and changes to stakeholders. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear documentation of plans, changes, and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Production Planning and managing Production Schedules to meet deadlines and optimize capacity.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills and Planning abilities to interpret data, forecast needs, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Clear, professional Communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and documenting plans and changes.
- Post-secondary education in supply chain, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
