Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Automotive Service Writer / Parts Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a self-starter who can operate without supervision and manage the daily flow of the shop. You will be the logistical backbone for our technicians, ensuring estimates are accurate, parts are ordered efficiently, and workflow remains seamless using clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service & Advising: Be Greet customers, listen to their vehicle concerns, schedule appointments, and translate technical issues into clear, understandable repair recommendations.
- Service Writing: Estimate parts and labor costs, create accurate work orders, obtain customer approvals, and process final invoices.
- Parts Management: Source, order, and track parts from suppliers to ensure timely delivery for ongoing repairs. Manage inventory, handle returns, and audit core charges.
- Shop Workflow Coordination: Act as the bridge between customers and technicians, prioritizing jobs to maximize shop efficiency and meet deadlines.
- Independent Leadership: Take full ownership of the front desk, problem-solve on the fly,



and keep operations running smoothly without constant supervision.

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven experience working as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or Parts Specialist within the automotive repair industry.
- Robust knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and general repair terminology.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Proficiency with automotive shop management software and electronic parts catalogs.
- A self-motivated mindset with a track record of working independently and taking initiative.

Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
