Duties

- Assist senior carpenters with various construction tasks, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution.
- Support the installation of drywall, siding, framing, and other building components with precision and attention to detail.
- Participate in concrete forming and finishing processes, helping to shape and smooth concrete surfaces for durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique to prevent injury and ensure efficiency on site.
- Contribute to restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Skills





- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment necessary for carpentry tasks.
- Knowledge of construction processes including drywall installation, siding application, concrete forming, and finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting practices and safety protocols in a construction environment.
- Ability to operate or learn heavy equipment operation safely under supervision.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn recent skills such as welding or concrete finishing techniques.
