Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Cook / Floater ECE to join our vibrant team! In this versatile role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals while providing flexible support across various classroom settings within our early childhood education environment. Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards.
- Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Support classroom staff by providing timely meal service, ensuring children’s dietary needs are met with care and attention.
- Collaborate with team members to plan menus that accommodate allergies, special diets, and cultural preferences.
- Maintain accurate food inventory records and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Float between classrooms or program areas as needed to support staff with meal times or other food-related tasks, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Experience





- Previous food service experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, or similar setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, meal planning, and food safety practices is essential.
- Experience working in early childhood education or with young children is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with serving procedures, food handling regulations, and kitchen equipment will help ensure smooth operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and support staff.
- A genuine passion for fostering a positive environment through nutritious food offerings and versatile support roles.

Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
