Job Summary

Our client in Cambridge is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator & General Labourer to join their team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Tugger Machine as well as Counterbalance Forklift and heavy equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload materials. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods within the warehouse and ensuring that all operations comply with safety standards.

Shift Timings: (all shifts timings are Monday to Friday, with Friday being a shorter shift)

Afternoon shift schedule : Mon-Thurs 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM AND Friday 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Start: Looking for individuals who are able to start ASAP.

**Criminal Background check is required

Duties

- Operate Tugger machine (training provided)
- Operate Electric Counterbalance Forklift
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage stock levels within the warehouse management system.
- Manual Order Picking utilizing RF Scanners and pick carts




- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure protected operation.
- Engage in heavy lifting and materials handling as required by operational demands.

*Please note: A strong level of forklift competency and experience is required, however, this is not exclusively a forklift role. Team members must be comfortable performing a variety of warehouse tasks. Forklift operation will not make up the entire shift.

Experience

- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar environments is preferred.
- Valid Counterbalance forklift license and 3 +years experience
- Familiarity with order picking processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Experience with mechanical knowledge related to forklifts and other warehouse machinery is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to materials handling and equipment operation.
