Duties

- Welcome guests with a friendly, professional attitude and present menus while providing knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage selections.
- Accurately take and enter guest orders using POS systems (such as Micros POS) and communicate efficiently with kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Promote menu items, beverages, and specials through effective upselling to enhance the guest experience.
- Process guest payments accurately, including cash, debit, and credit transactions, while balancing cash at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dining area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, resolve concerns professionally, and ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain smooth restaurant operations during busy service periods.

Qualifications





- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Valid Smart Serve Certification (Ontario) is required.
- Robust customer service and communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Experience using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar restaurant software is an asset.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills, including bill splitting and processing payments.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is considered an asset but is not required.
- Demonstrated hospitality skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and maximize sales through suggestive selling.
