We're a close-knit team that takes pride in doing the job right, and we're looking for a licensed 421A mechanic to join us as we expand our field service operations.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled 421A Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic — Field Service to join our team! In this role, you will be the frontline expert responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment in the field. - Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Requirements
- 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician license (Red Seal an asset)
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery — minimum 2+ years of hands-on field service experience
- Off-highway equipment experience highly preferred, with familiarity in brand-specific systems like Caterpillar, John Deere, Volvo, or similar manufacturers
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics,
and schematics interpretation
- Comfortable diagnosing and completing repairs independently on-site, without shop backup
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment as needed during repairs or inspections
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding gear, and other maintenance equipment effectively
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to respond to occasional after-hours/emergency calls
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather/site conditions
Compensation & Benefits
- $45.00–$55.00/hour, based on experience
