Renovations Foreman

Position Summary
Northland Builders is seeking an experienced Renovations Foreman to lead commercial and hospitality renovation projects. The successful candidate will coordinate trades, maintain project schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure high-quality workmanship while working closely with the Site Superintendent and project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site activities and subcontractors.
- Coordinate project schedules, deliveries, and manpower requirements.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
- Conduct site inspections and maintain quality control standards.
- Enforce company safety policies and provincial OHS requirements.
- Track site progress and report updates to the Site Superintendent.
- Resolve site issues and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships.
- Maintain site documentation, including safety and daily reports.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction renovation experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, hotel, multi-family, or institutional renovations.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Excellent leadership, communication,
and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and basic digital reporting tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Required Certifications & Training
- In line with common Canadian construction industry and OHS expectations, candidates should possess:
- Current WHMIS certification.
- Valid Fall Protection / Working at Heights training.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (asset or requirement depending on project needs).
- Knowledge of provincial Occupational Health & Safety regulations and safe work practices. Canadian OHS legislation requires supervisors and employers to ensure workers are adequately trained and competent to perform assigned tasks safely.
- CSTS 2020, OSSA, NCSO, or equivalent safety training considered an asset.
