Our walk-in clinic is staffed by International Medical Graduates (IMGs) in the role of a telemedicine assistant. Their job entails:

Triaging
Conducting the H&P;
Writing the SOAP note
Presenting the case to a remotely located licensed physician via secure video conferencing software (https://otn.ca/what-is-telemedicine/)

Unlike observerships, it is a paid job! It is a very hands-on experience with lots of patient interactions and a great way to develop and maintain clinical skills. In addition, physicians are willing to write reference letters for candidates to add to their residency application.

Positons are located in Sarnia, ON, and Woodstock, ON. This position is ideally suited for Canadian IMGs. We do provide accommodations for the IMG when they are working.

We are looking for hardworking, motivated and intuitive candidates and feel that this position will help them realize their goal. We have had many successful IMGs match into residency following their experience with us.
