Do you thrive in leadership roles and excel at delivering exceptional customer service? If so, Deer Park Food Store in Red Deer has an exciting opportunity for you! We're currently seeking a skilled and motivated Meat Manager to join our team and help drive excellence in our meat department.

Position: Meat Manager

Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the overall operations of the meat department,

- Ensure adherence to the department budget,

- Oversee inventory control, ordering and receiving for the department,

- Ensure the meat department is appropriately merchandised including accurate tagging and pricing,

- Maintain excellent customer service by tracking, monitoring and following up with customer concerns,

- Participate in recruitment, training, development and performance management of all team members in the department,

- Ensure proper preparation of promotions and displays are completed,

- Provide robust leadership and support to team members within the department,

- Perform additional duties as assigned by the store manager.

Qualifications:

- Grade 12 or an acceptable combination of education and experience,

- Meat Cutting Certificate or two (2) years of meat cutting,

- Three (3) years retail supervisory experience,

- Business related education would be an asset,

- Experience in managing business initiatives including analysis of financial results,

- Previous experience in leading a meat department is considered an asset,

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required.
