What the program?

Acton Academy Calgary Central’s STEM Lab is a high-engagement program designed to build "STEM Identity" in children ages 4–9. Utilizing the world-class Engino Education system, we implement a "Learn-by-Doing" philosophy. Our curriculum guides learners from basic structural understanding to complex mechanical creation. We don't just teach science; we empower young "Junior Engineers" to solve real-world problems through spatial awareness, logic, and creative iteration.

Open Role:

We are looking for part-time facilitator with experience working with children ages 4 to 9 years old.

Work Schedule:

Saturdays* from 9:30am - 12:30pm.

*except long-weekends and Christmas break.

Minimum Requirements:

- Experience coaching, tutoring, or working with children between the ages of 4 and 9.
- Ability to maintain a high-energy, safe, and motivating environment.




- A deep commitment to guiding students through insightful questions rather than providing direct answers.
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills for interacting with children and parents.
- A "get-it-done" attitude with the ability to manage a classroom and prep materials independently.
- A consistent and punctual professional who understands the importance of being present for our learners.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search

Ideal Qualifications:

- University or College student.
- Early childhood educator (ECE 1 or above).
- Professionals with experience working with children.
- Familiarity with construction-based robotics/engineering tools.
