Weld Talent is recruiting on behalf of Panda Insulation for a full-time Licensed Spray Foam Insulation Applicator in Ottawa and the surrounding area.

We are looking for an experienced spray foam applicator who can work independently and understands not only proper application techniques, but also how spray foam fits into the overall building envelope.

Compensation: $32–$45/hour, depending on experience and qualificationsLocation: Ottawa, Ontario and surrounding areaPosition: Full-time

Requirements

- Valid Canadian spray polyurethane foam installer certification/licence
- Professional spray foam application experience
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of workmanship
- Solid understanding of building envelopes and building science
- Knowledge of air barriers, vapour control, moisture management and thermal bridging
- Ability to recognize potential building-envelope issues before application
- Ability to read plans and understand insulation specifications

Relevant experience may include

- Residential and custom home construction




- Basements and foundation walls
- Rim joists
- Exterior wall assemblies
- Attics, rooflines and cathedral ceilings
- Substrate preparation and proper spray foam application
- Quality control and inspection of completed work
- Spray foam equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Daily equipment and spray gun maintenance

EquipmentPanda Insulation operates Graco Reactors and Fusion AP, PC and FX spray guns. Experience with this equipment is an asset.
