We are looking for an experienced Dog Bather to join our busy, fast-paced dog grooming salon.

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM

OWNING, BABYSITTING, DAYCARE SERVICE, BATHING YOUR OWN/FRIEND’S/FAMILY’S DOG DOES NOT QUALIFY YOU FOR THIS JOB.

YOU MUST HAVE SOLID DOG BATHING SKILLS.

We are looking for someone who is confident, reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently. The ideal candidate has previous experience bathing and drying dogs and understands how to safely and calmly handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments.

Dog grooming can be a stressful environment for some dogs, so patience, calm handling, and attention to detail are extremely important to us. We want someone who genuinely cares about the well-being of every dog in our care and can recognize when a dog needs extra patience, reassurance, or attention.

Responsibilities

- Bathe and thoroughly dry dogs of various sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments
- Safely handle dogs throughout the bathing and drying process
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace throughout the day
- Safely lift and handle heavy and large dogs when required
- Monitor dogs closely for signs of stress, discomfort, anxiety, or distress
- Provide patient and gentle care to senior dogs and dogs requiring additional attention
- Communicate any health concerns, injuries, skin issues, lumps, growths, or other abnormalities noticed during bathing
- Pay close attention to areas that require extra cleaning, including eyes, ears, paws, sanitary areas, and areas with dirt or buildup
- Work efficiently and keep up with a busy grooming schedule




- Follow proper safety and handling procedures at all times

Skills & Qualifications

- Previous experience as a dog bather, grooming assistant, or in a similar animal-care role
- Ability to work independently and confidently without constant supervision
- Strong knowledge of safe dog handling and an understanding of different breeds and temperaments
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting, including handling large dogs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong physical stamina and agility (able to stand, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods during busy shifts)
- Patient, calm, and confident when working with nervous, anxious, senior, or difficult-to-handle dogs
- Ability to recognize signs of stress and respond appropriately
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up consistently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a quick-paced environment
- Genuine passion for animals and a commitment to providing a safe, caring, and positive experience for every dog

We are looking for someone who can walk into the bathing area, know what needs to be done, and get the job done efficiently, safely, and with care.
