Vaping Koi Junction is a locally owned vape and smoke shop dedicated to providing quality products and outstanding customer service in a clean, welcoming, and professional environment. We're looking for a dependable, trustworthy team member to join our team as a Key Holder/Sales Associate.

Position Summary
The Key Holder/Sales Associate is a trusted member of our team responsible for providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and independently opening and/or closing the store. Because this role frequently involves working alone during opening and closing shifts, we are looking for someone with strong integrity, reliability, and a serious sense of personal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations & Key Holder Duties

- Open and/or close the store independently according to company procedures
- Arm and disarm the security system and ensure the store is properly secured at close
- Handle daily cash drawer counts, deposits, and end-of-day reconciliation accurately
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked before opening and at close
- Report any discrepancies, maintenance issues, or security concerns to management immediately

Sales & Customer Service

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner
- Educate customers on products, devices, and promotions
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system
- Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals
- Maintain strong product knowledge across all in-store inventory

Compliance & Loss Prevention

- Strictly verify customer age and ID for all applicable purchases, with zero exceptions
- Follow all requirements under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, the federal Tobacco and Vaping Products Act, and all applicable municipal by-laws




- Monitor the sales floor to prevent theft and maintain a secure store environment
- Follow all company policies regarding cash handling, inventory, and store security

Qualifications

- Must be 19 years of age or older (legal minimum age to sell vaping/tobacco products in Ontario)
- Prior retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
- Prior experience as a Key Holder, Shift Lead, or similar trusted role is a strong plus
- Reliable transportation and a consistent, dependable attendance record
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions without direct supervision
- Trustworthy, honest, and able to handle cash and sensitive responsibilities with integrity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math and point-of-sale (POS) system skills

- Takes ownership and follows through, even without supervision
- Has a clean, verifiable work history
- Communicates honestly and proactively with management
- Treats the store's cash, inventory, and security like their own responsibility

Schedule

- Part time positions available
- Must be flexible to work opening and/or closing shifts, including some weekends and holidays

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 30.0 per week
