About the Role
We are hiring a Gantry / Options Assembler to support the fabrication and assembly of CNC machine gantries and auxiliary router options.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role responsible for assembling gantry components according to engineering drawings, operating gantry and Millhaus machines, machining tubes, legs, and carriages, and completing manual and automated machining tasks in support of production schedules.
The Gantry / Options Assembler also works closely with Inventory Control to help ensure materials are available for current production requirements and anticipated needs. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable using power tools and measuring equipment, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gantry & Options Assembly
- Fabricate and assemble CNC machine gantries in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and established production processes
- Assemble auxiliary options for AXYZ routers
- Assemble components required to complete gantry fabrication, including tubes, legs, carriages, and related assemblies
- Interpret assembly drawings and follow documented work instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure assembled parts meet required quality standards before progressing to the next stage of production
- Identify, report, and support the resolution of non-conforming materials, components, or assemblies
Machine Operation & Maintenance
- Operate the Millhaus and gantry machines in accordance with the production schedule and established procedures
- Complete manual and automated machining tasks to support production requirements
- Follow established procedures for maintaining gantry machines and related equipment
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Materials, Scheduling & Documentation
- Coordinate with Inventory Control to help ensure materials and components are available for current and projected production needs
- Communicate material shortages, quality concerns, and production issues to the appropriate team members
- Complete time allocation and other required production documentation accurately and on time
- Support production schedules by completing assigned work efficiently and with a high level of accuracy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Work collaboratively with Production, Inventory Control, Engineering, Quality, and other departments
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
- Contribute to a respectful, positive, and productive work environment
- Accept feedback and use it constructively to improve performance
- Adapt to changes in production priorities, processes, and responsibilities
Experience
- Minimum two years of assembly experience in a manufacturing, machine-building, or similar environment
- Experience assembling machinery or mechanical components using hand and power tools
- Experience operating manufacturing equipment or CNC-related machinery is considered an asset
- Experience performing basic machine maintenance is considered an asset
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and technical documentation
- Experience using measuring instruments, including calipers
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to identify and report non-conforming materials or workmanship

Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, crouch, and work on the ground as required
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with a hands-on manufacturing and assembly role
