Overview

We are seeking entry level and experienced Cable Technicians to join our team. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We work on a wide array of telecommunications systems and equipment such as; CAT5/6 cables, fiber optic, access control, camera, audio visual, telephony, and security systems.

We are willing to take on Jr. Apprentices who are mechanically inclined and are willing to grow with our team.

Duties

- Install, repair, and maintain cable and other data network systems.
- Perform troubleshooting on various telecommunication equipment including telephone lines and data networks.
- Utilize hand tools and low voltage equipment to complete installations efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory of materials used.

Requirements

- Must have a valid Ontario drivers license and a reliable vehicle to commute to different job sites.




- Familiarity with computer networking concepts and telecommunication systems is preferable.
- 1 to 3 years' Experience working with low voltage wiring and electrical components is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools specific to cable installation tasks.
- Able to read and follow blueprints and wiring schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude strongly preferred.
- Post secondary education in computer networking and/or telecommunications a definite asset.
