Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology and data programs spanning multiple workstreams, delivery teams, vendors and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable operating at the executive level and working directly with technical teams. This includes presenting program strategy, risks, financials, dependencies and key decisions to senior leadership, while also partnering with architects, engineers, data teams and development teams to understand delivery challenges, facilitate technical discussions and drive issues through to resolution. This individual does not need to be the deepest technical expert in the room, but must have a strong understanding of technology delivery, data products, modern data platforms, software development and technical dependencies in order to ask the right questions, connect technical decisions to business outcomes and help business and technology teams reach alignment. The ideal candidate combines strong program management discipline with a pragmatic and agile delivery mindset. They should be grounded in formal project/program management methodology, governance and delivery excellence, while knowing when and how to adapt the approach based on the needs of the program. This role requires significant ownership and autonomy, with accountability for program outcomes rather than simply tracking and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology and data programs across multiple workstreams, teams and delivery partners.
- Develop and manage integrated program plans, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, risks and delivery objectives.
- Coordinate delivery across business, product, architecture, data, engineering, QA, infrastructure, security and other technology teams.
- Partner with executive and senior leadership to communicate program strategy, status, financials, risks,
dependencies and key decisions.
- Develop a strong understanding of the broader technology ecosystem and identify how architecture decisions, technical dependencies, data dependencies and delivery constraints impact overall program outcomes.
- Identify risks and delivery issues early and drive appropriate mitigation, escalation and resolution.
- Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams when requirements, priorities, timelines or technical constraints are not aligned.
- Support effective decision-making by ensuring stakeholders have the appropriate context, options, risks and recommendations.
- Maintain strong program governance, reporting, financial management, risk management and delivery controls.
- Apply structured program management methodologies while adapting delivery practices appropriately within agile, hybrid and traditional environments.
- Coordinate internal teams, external vendors and delivery partners to ensure responsibilities, dependencies and outcomes remain aligned.
- Drive accountability across teams and maintain focus on measurable delivery outcomes.
Data & Technology Program Experience

- Data pipelines and integrations
- Modern data platforms
- Data products and consumption patterns
- Data quality and validation
- Data governance
- Upstream and downstream dependencies
- Software development lifecycles

Required Skills
- Robust understanding of technology delivery and modern software development environments
- Strong program planning, governance, dependency management,
risk management and financial management capabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with both senior executives and deeply technical teams
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management and conflict-resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues early, challenge assumptions and drive decisions through to resolution
- Experience operating in Agile, Waterfall and/or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently in complex and evolving environments
- Experience working with architecture, engineering, data, infrastructure, security, QA and product teams
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience working within a professional consulting, technology consulting or management consulting environment, particularly in roles involving client-facing program delivery, transformation or advisory work
- Previous experience delivering technology, data or transformation initiatives within healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences or other highly regulated industries
- Experience managing programs involving third-party technology vendors, consulting partners or system integrators
- Experience with enterprise-scale data modernization, cloud transformation or digital transformation initiatives
- PMP, PgMP, Agile or related project/program management certification
