IVIS is seeking a agile and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technologist Estimator to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing accurate and comprehensive project estimates for a variety of civil construction projects. Your expertise will help drive project success from initial conception through to completion, ensuring bids are competitive and aligned with project specifications. Responsibilities

- Develop detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and scope of work using industry-standard software such as Service Fusion.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and refine estimates accordingly.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, pricing analysis, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive rates.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately represented and aligned with client expectations.
- Utilize project management principles to track estimate progress, update cost models, and ensure timely submission of bids.




- Review project documentation regularly to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities while maintaining compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating activities, including pricing data, supplier quotes, and historical project information for future reference.

Skills

- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods gained through construction experience or related education.
- Excellent project management skills to coordinate multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting clear estimates to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of current industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in civil construction estimating.

Pay: $78,500.00-$129,702.11 per year
