Residential Counselor in a Small Options home. As part of a dynamic team, you would supervise persons with an intellectual disability, helping them become more independent in many facets of their lives. Shift work: including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts. This is a casual position. Duties include: supervise daily life skills, and recreational activities, administer medications, meal preparation, personal care, housework, and documentation. Education: Human Services diploma , core competency training : Standard First Aid, Behavior support training, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, medication awareness training, fire and life safety training, food handling, and personal care training. A valid drivers licence is also required. You are expected to be a team player, with excellent communication skills. Experience an asset.
