Flooring Liquidators operates 16 showrooms across Ontario, specializing in hardwood flooring, laminate flooring, vinyl flooring, tile, building materials, and kitchen products.

Our Ottawa showroom is conveniently located near public transit. We are looking for a motivated Sales Associate / Customer Service Representative with a passion for home improvement, renovations, and interior design to join our team.

Job Summary

The Showroom Sales Associate will assist customers with product selection, provide expert recommendations, process orders, and support showroom operations. This role is ideal for someone with retail sales, flooring sales, renovation sales, or customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide professional sales assistance
- Help customers choose flooring products (hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile)
- Provide product recommendations and close sales effectively
- Process orders, invoices, and customer transactions
- Answer customer inquiries by phone, email, and in-store
- Schedule and coordinate product deliveries and installations
- Maintain showroom organization and displays
- Create and post online ads on Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, and other platforms
- Assist with administrative tasks, order management, and customer follow-ups
- Open and close the showroom according to schedule

Qualifications





- 3+ years retail sales experience (required)
- 2+ years customer service experience
- Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience in flooring sales, home renovation sales, or building materials is an asset
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Comfortable using Excel, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Gmail, POS systems
- Experience posting ads on Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Fluent English required

- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and handle product samples
- Must be comfortable standing, sitting, and performing light cleaning duties
- On-site parking available

Schedule

Weekdays and Weekends as required

Training

- Paid training (3–4 weeks)
- Training rate: Minimum wage
