We are excited to be recruiting for a part-time Hotel Night Auditor at our Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport Location.
This is a part-time position, and the hours will be overnight shifts and include weekends, depending on hotel business levels.
Wyndham Garden is a full-service hotel located on the first Urban Reserve in Winnipeg; the Long Plain Madison Reserve located on Treaty 1 territory. The hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation and is operated by Winnipeg based Sparrow Hotels. The hotel features 132 guest rooms, pool, waterslide, fitness centre, 5800 square feet of flexible meeting space, dining room, café, and 230 parking stalls.
Duties:
· Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location.
· Create and manage guest reservations using Opera PMS.
· Ensure valid identification is taken from guests at check-in
· Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
· Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
· Answer all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns
· Record guest preferences in the PMS system
· Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges
· Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring.
· Accurately process all guest transactions using established procedures
· Balance restaurant and café sales and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
· Apply and process payments for banquet events.
· Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
· Ensure all credit cards and debit transactions balance
· Gather all necessary end of shift information for all departments
· Ensure all credit cards and debit transactions balance
· Print all required reports for audit, accounting and FOM
· Prepare Arrivals for following day
· Must be available to work flexible shifts, holidays and weekends
What you bring to the table:
· Minimum 2 years of Night Audit and/or Front Desk experience in a hotel environment.
· Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in cash handling, reporting, and financial reconciliation.
· Ability to remain focused and organized while working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
· Positive, dependable, and qualified attitude with a strong commitment to guest service.
· Ability to follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality when handling guest and financial information.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently address guest inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
· Proficiency with hotel property management systems; Opera PMS experience is considered an asset.

Pay: $17.25-$17.50 per hour
