GenMec is seeking an experienced and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenters for our project in Burwash Landing, Yukon. This is an opportunity to work alongside an experienced crew where quality workmanship, safety and teamwork are highly valued. This role requires working on construction sites, often outdoors in variable weather conditions.
Location: Burwash Landing, Yukon
Start date: Immediately
Job Type: Full-time (Day shift, overtime, and weekends as needed)
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
Project duration: 3 months
Fly In Fly Out from: Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna, Vancouver

What You’ll Do:
- Perform high-quality carpentry work on-site in alignment with project plans.
- Collaborate with the construction team to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans to meet project specifications.
- Maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years in construction with a strong carpentry focus.
- Certification: Journeyman Carpenter Ticket preferred. Valid safety certifications (First Aid, CSTS, WHMIS, Work Hub Orientation, etc.) and a valid driver’s license are assets.
- Skills: Robust knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
- Characteristics:
- Motivated and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Effective communicator and team player.
- Organized and adaptable, ready to meet the demands of the job.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in outdoor conditions.
