Join our vibrant culinary team as a Chocolatier Assistant, where your passion for sweets and creativity will help craft irresistible chocolates and confections! In this lively role, you’ll support the lead chocolatier in preparing, decorating, and packaging high-quality chocolates that delight our customers. You will be trained as a pastry student in the art of cold kitchen desserts - European food science style. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and attention to detail will be key to creating beautiful, delicious treats that leave a lasting impression. Duties

- Assist in producing chocolate confections, including tempering, molding, and piping with various chocolates and chocolate related products
- Assist in producing gelato and sorbets from raw ingredients
- Support European style cake baking and assembling, as well as presentation to ensure visually appealing products
- Help with food handling and safety protocols to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards and avoiding any cross contamination.
- Package finished products carefully for retail display or shipment, ensuring quality control
- Contribute to food preparation tasks such as cooking and handcrafted folding techniques




- Maintain organized workstations and assist with inventory management of ingredients and supplies
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and offering samples when appropriate

Requirements

- Valid food handler's certificate
- Previous experience in a food-related environment, preferably within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and food presentation skills
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Basic cooking and baking skills, with an eye for detail in food preparation
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Willingness to learn new techniques and contribute to team success

Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour
