Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable part time Quality Control Manager to inspect vacation homes after cleaning and ensure they meet our company’s standards for cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and can work independently in a fast-paced vacation rental workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect vacation homes after cleaning to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Check bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, entryways, and outdoor spaces for cleanliness and proper presentation.
- Identify missed cleaning tasks, damage, maintenance issues, missing supplies, or items that need attention.
- Ensure beds are properly made and rooms are organized and guest-ready.
- Verify that kitchens and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and properly stocked.
- Check floors, windows, mirrors, appliances, furniture, and high-touch surfaces.
- Confirm that required linens, towels, toiletries, and guest supplies are properly stocked.
- Take photos and document any issues requiring correction.
- Communicate cleaning deficiencies to the cleaning team and ensure they are corrected before guests arrive.
- Report maintenance, safety, or property-damage concerns to management promptly.
- Monitor consistency and identify recurring cleaning issues.
- Help maintain and improve cleaning checklists, standards, and procedures.
- Complete inspections efficiently while meeting daily scheduling requirements.




- Provide feedback to cleaners in a professional and constructive manner.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in housekeeping, vacation rentals, hospitality, or quality control is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to recognize cleanliness and presentation issues that may be overlooked by others.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license may be required.
- Ability to use a smartphone to take photos, communicate with the team, and complete digital inspection checklists.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to walk through and inspect multiple properties during a shift.
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and inspect areas throughout a home.
- Ability to lift and move light household items when necessary.

Hours

Ideally the candidate will be open to working 12 - 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Quality Control Inspector ensures that every vacation home is clean, organized, well-stocked, properly presented, and ready for guests before check-in. The role is critical to maintaining excellent guest reviews and consistent property standards.

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
