We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Bookkeeper on a monthly basis to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our organization. This role is vital in ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes, supporting financial reporting, and facilitating smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payable
- Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts to verify accuracy
- Maintain up-to-date financial records using Excel
- Conduct regular account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
- Support budgeting activities by providing detailed financial data and analysis as needed
- Prepare detailed reports on financial transactions, account status, and other relevant metrics for review
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and organizational skills for filing system with goal of cloud system.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis accurately
- Knowledge of accounts payable
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently on a contractual basis while maintaining explicit communication with the team
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with budgeting tools and familiarity with various accounting software platforms
