JOHNNY K CARSTAR GROUP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing Accounting team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate who would like to gain practical accounting experience, work alongside experienced professionals, and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Enter Accounts Payable transactions into QuickBooks.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Respond professionally to vendor inquiries by phone and email.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding credits, payment inquiries, and account reconciliations.
- Complete weekly cheque and corporate credit card payment runs.
- Scan, file, and maintain organized financial records.
- Assist with general administrative duties and support the Accounting team.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.




- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Experience

- Recent graduate with a Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Eager to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- QuickBooks or other accounting software experience is an asset.
- Previous office, administrative, accounting, or co-op experience is considered an asset but is not required.
