We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our team.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with transportation regulations while supporting the safety and success of our drivers and fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor transportation safety and compliance regulations, industry standards, and best practices to ensure adherence across company and owner-operator fleets.
- Facilitate safety meetings, orientations, and ongoing training programs for company drivers and owner-operators.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver qualification files, owner-operator files, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor fleet maintenance programs to ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and regulatory requirements are met.
- Assist with accident and incident reporting, investigations, documentation, and corrective action follow-up.
- Conduct daily monitoring and auditing of Hours of Service (HOS) logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance.
- Track and manage driver certifications, licensing requirements, medical certificates, and training records.
- Support internal safety audits and compliance reviews.




- Communicate regulatory updates and company safety policies to drivers and operational staff.
- Work closely with dispatch, maintenance, and management teams to promote a strong safety culture.
- Some travel required (minimal).

Qualifications

- Previous experience in transportation safety, compliance, fleet administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of commercial trucking regulations, Hours of Service rules, and transportation safety standards.
- Experience with ELD platforms and transportation management systems is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Post-secondary education in business, transportation, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
