Position: Yard & Detail Associate

SWS Marine Group in Kelowna is a leading Boat Sales & Service provider specializing in premium wake/tow boats, pontoons, and pleasure craft.

We are currently looking for a full-time, motivated, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Yard & Detail Associate. This is a permanent full-time position with opportunities to grow within a fast-paced and team-focused marine environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

This position combines boat detailing, lot organization, yard maintenance, and general shop support responsibilities.

Detailing & Cleaning

- Wash, clean, and detail interior and exterior surfaces of boats
- Vacuum interiors, clean flooring, storage compartments, glass, chrome, wheels, and trailers
- Perform exterior polishing and final presentation detailing
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and professionalism throughout the dealership
- Monitor and maintain detailing and cleaning supplies
- Identify and report any damage or additional repair needs to Service Advisors or Management

Yard & Shop Support

- Move, organize, stage, and position boats around the yard and service department
- Assist with loading and unloading customer boats and dealership inventory
- Support technicians and Service Advisors with unit preparation and shop flow
- Prep units before service work and re-stage units after repairs are completed
- Assist customers with pickup and drop-off procedures, including tarps and trailer hookup support
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the lot, yard, and shop areas




- Perform seasonal yard maintenance including grass cutting, snow removal, garbage disposal, and general upkeep
- Assist with receiving shipments, inventory organization, and dealership housekeeping
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in indoor and outdoor environments
- Positive attitude with strong work ethic and reliability
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable operating equipment and trailers safely
- Previous detailing, marine, automotive, landscaping, or lot attendant experience is an asset
- Forklift, tractor, or towing experience is an asset but not required
- Interest in boating, watersports, and lake life is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license preferred

Job Details

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- Overtime as required
