Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude, providing a warm welcome upon arrival
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate seating and service flow
- Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or special accommodations
- Monitor guest wait times and provide accurate wait estimates to enhance guest satisfaction
- Support food handling and meal preparation tasks as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Prior food service experience is preferred, especially in restaurant or hospitality settings
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience with serving, food preparation, cashiering, or barista duties is advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper cleaning procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Previous hotel experience or experience working in a hospitality workplace is beneficial
