Duties

- Develop and deliver dynamic, comprehensive biology lessons aligned with curriculum standards to ignite student interest in science.
- Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiments and activities to enhance practical understanding of biological concepts.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education support.
- Provide tutoring and extra help sessions to reinforce key topics such as genetics, ecology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, projects, and observations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary lessons that integrate math and science concepts effectively.




- Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and scientific inquiry.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of biology, including laboratory techniques and scientific principles.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex concepts and engage students effectively.
- Proven classroom experience with the ability to manage diverse student populations confidently.
- Experience in tutoring students individually or in small groups to boost understanding of challenging topics.
- Familiarity with integrating math skills into science lessons for comprehensive learning outcomes.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for students with special education needs, ensuring inclusive instruction.
- Laboratory experience demonstrating proficiency in scientific experimentation, safety protocols, and data analysis.
