Automotive Service Manager

An established automotive dealership in the Edmonton area is looking for an experienced Service Manager to take ownership of its service operation.

This is an opportunity for a proven leader who understands how to balance customer satisfaction, employee engagement and financial performance. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading from the floor, developing a strong team and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and profitability.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for the overall direction and performance of the Service Department, including:

- Leading and supporting service advisors, technicians and shop leadership
- Managing workflow, scheduling, productivity and repair quality
- Establishing transparent goals and holding the team accountable for results
- Reviewing departmental performance and implementing improvement plans
- Monitoring expenses, gross profit and other key performance indicators
- Building a customer-focused culture that encourages trust and repeat business
- Responding to escalated customer concerns with professionalism and sound judgment
- Recruiting, training and developing team members
- Working collaboratively with other dealership departments
- Maintaining a safe, organized and compliant workplace

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Five or more years of automotive dealership service experience
- At least three years of leadership or management experience
- A strong understanding of dealership service operations and financial performance




- Demonstrated success coaching technicians and service advisors
- The ability to improve processes, productivity and customer retention
- Confidence working with dealership management and service software
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- A valid driver’s licence and acceptable driving record

Automotive technical certification, post-secondary education or related industry training would be considered an asset but is not required.
