COSReady is an early-stage technology company building an AI-powered beauty and wellness platform for salons, spas, med spas, wellness providers, pet groomers, and other service-based businesses.

Our web platform is already live and in pilot testing with real businesses and users. We are now preparing for the next stage of product expansion, including mobile app launch, booking optimization, merchant dashboard improvements, AI workflow features, notification systems, and payment-related functions.

We are looking for a Full-Stack & Mobile App Developer with strong backend, architecture, and implementation judgment. This is not a simple frontend role or isolated feature-ticket role. This position is best suited for someone who can both think architecturally and execute hands-on.

The right candidate should be able to understand an existing system, identify structural problems, improve architecture, and personally deliver clean, reliable production code across web, backend, and mobile. The role requires flexibility, ownership, and practical problem-solving. Requirements may change quickly based on real user feedback, and documentation may not always be complete. You should be comfortable clarifying requirements, identifying risks, suggesting better technical approaches, and executing without waiting for step-by-step instructions.

This position may start remotely, but it is not intended to remain a permanent remote role. As the product moves closer to mobile app launch and the team expands, the role will transition to fully on-site work in Toronto / North York. The right candidate should be comfortable with this arrangement before applying.

What You Will Work On

You will work directly on COSReady’s core product, including:

- iOS and Android mobile app development
- Beauty Map directory and merchant profile system
- Customer-side discovery and booking experience
- Business dashboard and merchant onboarding flow
- Booking logic, service/staff/location structure, availability rules, and calendar workflows
- Account system, authentication, permissions, role-based access, and multi-location support
- Backend API structure, database models, and system reliability
- AI workflow integration, including LLM API features and automation
- SMS, email, notification, and reminder workflows
- Payment-related features, third-party API integrations, and webhook handling
- Deployment, testing, debugging, performance,



and production stability improvements

Key Responsibilities

- Review and improve the existing system architecture
- Design clean backend structures, database models, API contracts, and permission logic
- Build and maintain full-stack features across web, backend, and mobile
- Develop and improve iOS / Android app features connected to the existing backend
- Identify edge cases before implementation, not after users report problems
- Write maintainable code with proper validation, error handling, and testing
- Ensure frontend, backend, and mobile behavior are consistent
- Improve system stability, scalability, security, and data consistency
- Debug issues across frontend, backend, database, mobile app, and deployment layers
- Work closely with the founder and other developers in a fast-moving startup environment
- Take ownership of assigned work from requirement clarification to final delivery
- Communicate clearly on progress, blockers, technical risks, and implementation decisions

Required Qualifications

- MUST have 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Robust backend development experience with Python / Django / REST APIs, or strong backend experience with the ability to quickly work in Django
- Strong frontend experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Experience building mobile apps for iOS and Android, preferably with React Native or Flutter
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, permissions, and data modeling
- Experience connecting web and mobile applications to backend APIs
- Experience building production applications, not only demos or school projects
- Ability to debug across frontend, backend, mobile, database, and deployment layers
- Comfortable with Git, code reviews, environment setup, testing, and deployment workflows
- Able to work independently with limited hand-holding
- Able to work remotely at the beginning, with the understanding that the role will transition to fully on-site work in Toronto / North York in the near future





Strong Assets

- Experience with React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin, or Java mobile development
- Experience publishing or preparing apps for Apple App Store and Google Play
- Experience with SaaS platforms, marketplaces, booking systems, CRM, admin dashboards, or multi-tenant systems
- Experience with Stripe, Twilio, SMS workflows, payment logic, webhooks, or notification systems
- Experience with OpenAI / LLM APIs, RAG, AI agents, or workflow automation
- Experience with Docker, Linux, Nginx, GCP, AWS, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring
- Experience improving an existing codebase rather than only building from scratch
- Startup or 0-to-1 product experience

- Whether the API structure is clean and maintainable
- Whether permissions and user roles are handled properly
- Whether API behavior is consistent across web and mobile
- Whether edge cases may break the booking, account, payment, or notification flow
- Whether frontend, backend, and mobile behavior are aligned
- Whether errors, empty states, loading states, and validations are properly handled
- Whether the feature works for real merchants and real users
- Whether the implementation creates avoidable technical debt
- Whether the app experience is stable enough for public launch

Speed and efficiency matters, but careless implementation creates more problems than progress. We value developers who are careful, practical, and responsible.

Startup Environment

COSReady is an early-stage startup. The role requires flexibility, ownership, and practical problem-solving.

Work Arrangement: Remote initially; will transition to fully on-site in Toronto / North York in the near future.

Pay: $50,000.00-$64,000.00 per year
