Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves working closely with clients in various settings, including hospice care, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. The Support Worker will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those they serve by offering personal care, companionship, and support.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide meal preparation and nutritional support tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive setting.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Support individuals with disabilities by providing tailored care plans that promote independence.




- Engage clients in activities that stimulate cognitive function, particularly for those with dementia care needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Skills

- Experience in hospice care or assisted living is highly desirable.
- Strong background in caregiving with a focus on patient care techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial for supporting clients effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
- Patience and empathy are essential traits for building trusting relationships with clients.
- Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities is an asset.
