# Construction Painter — Full-Time

## Summary

TrueTone Painting is hiring an experienced construction painter for full-time work on a Caivan residential construction site in Barrhaven. The role covers the full interior finishing process on new units: surface prep, airless spraying, and brushing and rolling. All work is performed inside the units, so you are out of the weather year round.

This is not an entry-level position. You must already be comfortable working at production pace on a current-home site and be able to spray, cut and roll to builder standard with minimal supervision.

## Responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces prior to paint, including patching, sanding, caulking and masking

- Operate airless spray equipment to finish walls, ceilings and trim in new units

- Brush and roll finish work, including cut lines, doors, trim and touch-ups

- Work to builder specifications and pass builder and site-supervisor inspections

- Keep units clean and protected, and maintain your tools and equipment in working order

- Follow all site health and safety requirements, including required PPE at all times

## Requirements





- Proven experience as a painter — this is a skilled position

- Hands-on experience with airless spray equipment

- New home finishing experience with builders such as Mattamy, Caivan, Minto or similar

- Ability to work full-time hours and arrive on site on schedule

- Reliable transportation to the Barrhaven site

## Tools and Equipment You Must Provide

Applicants are expected to arrive with their own tools and PPE:

- Hard hat

- Steel toe boots

- Brush

- Mini roller

- 9" roller cage

- Roller sleeves

- Wooster or Purdy pail

- Paint tray and liners

- Utility knife or blade

## Compensation

- $25.00 per hour to start

- 30-day probationary period

- Full-time hours, indoor work year round

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 48.0 per week
