Schedule: Early morning shifts, including weekends as required

About Avia Bakery

Avia Bakery is a growing Ottawa bakery specializing in fresh, delicious bread and baked goods made with natural ingredients and a clean-label approach. We are expanding our production team and looking for hardworking, dependable people who take pride in making quality food.

Baker – Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake bread and bakery products according to recipes and production schedules
- Mix, shape, proof and bake dough
- Operate commercial bakery equipment safely
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times and product quality
- Maintain consistent product size, texture, appearance and taste
- Prepare production for daily wholesale and retail orders
- Follow food safety, sanitation and workplace procedures
- Keep the bakery clean and organized
- Work efficiently as part of a fast-paced production team

Assistant Baker – Responsibilities

- Assist bakers with mixing, scaling, shaping and baking
- Prepare ingredients and baking equipment
- Package, label and organize finished products
- Help with cleaning and sanitation
- Follow recipes and production instructions
- Support the team with daily production and orders
- Learn bakery production skills and grow within the company

What We're Looking For





For Bakers:

- Previous commercial bakery experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of bread and dough production
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality

For Assistant Bakers:

- Previous bakery or food-production experience is an asset, but training can be provided
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to learn
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in an early-morning production environment

Important: 4:00 AM Start

This position requires employees to arrive at 4:00 AM. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently arrive on time for early-morning shifts.
