Jr. Tax Assistant H&R; Block – St. Anthony, NL Full-Time Position | Year-Round Employment

H&R; Block St. Anthony is looking for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented individual to join our busy office as a Jr. Tax Assistant. Our office continues to grow and we are looking for someone who is interested in developing a career in income tax and bookkeeping. This is a full-time, year-round position, with additional hours and increased workload during our busy tax season from February through April.

What You'll Do

Working closely with our Senior Tax Professionals, you will receive hands-on training and gain experience in a variety of areas, including:

- Assisting with the preparation and completion of personal income tax returns

- Assisting Senior Tax Professionals with client files and documentation

- Providing friendly and professional customer service

- Bookkeeping and administrative support for business clients

- Organizing and maintaining confidential client information

- Answering phones and assisting clients in person

- Learning and using tax preparation and bookkeeping software

- Performing general office duties and supporting the team as needed

Training Provided

No previous tax experience is required.

Successful candidates will receive training through the H&R; Block Tax Academy Income Tax Course, along with ongoing hands-on training and support from our experienced tax professionals. - Has excellent verbal and written communication skills





- Is comfortable communicating professionally with clients in English

- Is friendly, approachable, and enjoys working with the public

- Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Is able to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized

- Has strong attention to detail

- Can work well as part of a team while also being comfortable working independently

- Understands the importance of confidentiality when dealing with personal and financial information

- Is dependable, punctual, and willing to learn

- Has basic computer skills and is comfortable learning new software

Previous experience working with the public in a confidential or professional environment would be considered an asset.

Previous experience in income tax, bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration is also an asset, but is not required.
